Job Description :



We have multiple openings for Electrical Engineers, Electrical Designers and an Instrumentation Engineer and Instrumentation Designer to support pulp and paper mill and chemical plant projects in our Birmingham, AL office.


Ideal Electrical Engineer candidates will have pulp and paper experience OR boiler experience including recovery boiler, power boiler, BMS (Burner Management System) which is responsible for the safe start-up, operation and shutdown of the boiler; crucial to the safety of a boiler. In addition to:

Electrical Engineer - Responsibilities:


The Electrical Engineer will check the electrical designs produced in the electrical department

  • The Electrical Engineer prepares sketches and performs calculations for a detailed segment of a project

  • Power substation design, power-line design and ability to produce designs for power, ground and lighting systems

  • Have a good understanding of power distribution and motor control practices and a general knowledge of industrial equipment to effectively develop sound designs

  • Have a basic knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems including process variable transmitters and programmable logic controllers

  • The Electrical Engineer should have experience reviewing vendor equipment drawings, tabulating data, preparing specifications and preparing written reports on engineering related projects




Required Qualifications :


  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering  

  • Electrical Engineer with 7+ plus years of experience; Professional Engineer (PE), preferred

  • Must be computer literate, proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • The Electrical Engineer must have excellent oral and written communication skills
