Senior Front End Engineer (Contract - 6 months)

Note: This is a contract role for a duration of 6 months. The position is remote-friendly, allowing you to work from anywhere.  We are seeking an experienced Senior Front End Engineer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the rebranding of core business sites, while also migrating legacy websites to Angular. As a self-sufficient professional, you will bring your expertise in Angular, JavaScript, and Agile workflow to ensure a seamless transition.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the rebranding effort across all sites. 


• Collaborate closely with the development team and product stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the architectural decisions.


• Develop robust and scalable front end solutions using Angular, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies to enhance the user experience and ensure cross-browser compatibility.


• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following best practices and modern front end standards.


• Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal user experience across various devices and screen sizes.


• Work in an Agile environment, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.


• Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members when necessary.


• Troubleshoot and debug issues, conduct thorough testing, and address performance bottlenecks to deliver high-quality software solutions.


• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in front end technologies, proactively recommending improvements and driving innovation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).


• 3-5 years of proven experience as a Senior Front End Engineer or similar role, ideally with a focus on large-scale migrations or complex projects.


• Strong proficiency in Angular and JavaScript, with the ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code.


• Proficiency in modern front end standards, including HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.


• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams.


• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA).


• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex applications.


• Self-sufficiency and the ability to work independently, managing your own tasks and priorities effectively.


• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.


• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions within tight deadlines.
